Instructors
J.B.
Lead Instructor
JB is a Maui icon. Everyone knows JB (see below about the
talking) He's been here for years and years enjoying the
good life. When his inheritance dried up, he figured he
had to work again, but he's one of the lucky ones who earns
a living doing what he loves. An excellent instructor that
is warm and friendly all the time. Catch him on a slow day,
and he may be strumming his guitar on the beach enjoying
himself. If you see him doing this, ask him to play ...
WARNING - JB talks a lot and then some. A good story
teller and has plenty of them. Take some time to see JB
and you'll always remember!
Darren
Kiwi
From the far South . . . New Zealand, Kiwi jumped on a
plane, got to Maui and has been teaching with Maui Beach
Boys since (he was an surf addict before he got there surfing
the cold waters in New Zealand). Very charming, very fun,
you can literally see people relax with Kiwi and really
enjoy themselves. He'll have you laughing so much you'll
would have forgotten about any fears you may have had about
surfing.
Val
Our #1 wahine (Lady)
Val is magic with kids and specializes in ladies surfing
101... a wizard in the water.... some say she seems like
she walks on the water. Always a smile on her face, and
some warm words of encouragements, Vals energy and spirits
keep everyone going
Roger
We'll, this guy can surf but is kind of "goofy"
out there (particularly to the author here!) but he can
teach it. We always give Roger a hard time about his surfing
style and how "unique" it is. A relatively newcomer,
only here 8 years, a good instructor and for some reason
doesn't have a tan.
