Surf Lessons
Everyone is / was a beginner at some point. Relax, and feel
comfortable with us.
OK, you're here so you're curious about surfing and know
the value of instruction. That's good. Lessons are quiet simple,
you show up, we get you geared up and here's the important
part - we will impart some very helpful tips & hints during
your beach instruction. This is when it's important to pay
attention and go through the dry run on the beach. Yes, listen
and pay attention. From there, we head to the shoreline, get
"leashed" and then we paddle out for the moment
of truth. If you've read this far, that's good because the
person who paid the least attention during the beach briefing
is the first "volunteer" to show the others.
Instructors are in the water with you, helping you "Read"
the wave, and helping you with surfing etiquette (believe
it or not, but there are "road rules" out there.
They will assist your paddling so you have the best opportunity
to ride those waves. Ride em Cowboy! (Please leave cowboy
gear at your hotel/condo or on the beach - boots ok!).
Lessons are two (2) hours long and consist mostly of water
time. We will start you with a beach dry run / instruction
to facilitate and maximize your efforts once in the water.
Two hours of time is perfect to have fun, ride waves, get
the feel of surfing and give you a reminder to exercise more
in your regular life. It's a workout, but luckily you can
rest a little between sets.
Long story short - Fun activity that will get you moving,
get you wet, and put you in great spirits. Family friendly
and easy to join in with - we invite you to Maui Beach Boys
Surf Instruction. All days 8am,10am ,12 noon . . . and sometimes
2pm)
P.S. It's not good to call this "school" . . ..
you will not be graded! Instruction is better!
Our lessons are value priced at $65 for
a 2 hour lesson
Private lessons available from $139 each
(min 2)
Rentals at the beach for $20 for 2 hours
or $30 for the day
Camp
Some folks find themselves wanting a little more - they've
seen the guys on TV riding bigger waves, hanging 10, and being
able to ride wave after wave. If you find yourself in this
position, we have a program for you. You can join a camp,
where you will learn beyond the basics and give you the opportunity
to surf different locations and waves. Camps usually consist
of 3 lessons where you will you can accelerate your learning.
With this, if its qualified, you will be riding glass boards
just like the pros!
Camp starts at $179 and includes all the
equipment you need
